My Top Three Favorite Restaurants

If you have met me, you would know that I am a major foodie. I love trying new foods and new restaurants wherever I go, and I have had some incredible food. With that being said, I certainly do have favorites when it comes to places I have eaten at. I am going to delve into my top three favorite restaurants (in no particular order) so if you are a foodie like me, you can experience the best of the best!

Restaurant One: The Bubble Room

Location: Captiva Island, Florida

My Review: The Bubble Room is truly an experience like no other. The theming of the interior is "nostalgic Christmas", but there is just about any type of decor or memorabilia you could imagine. As impressive as the collection of decor is, it does not distract from what is most important: the food. The dishes are anything but basic and have quirky names to compliment just how unique they are. For example, my favorite dish is called "The Sky is Falling", a half-roasted chicken with the most delectable basil cream sauce. Some other interesting names of menu items include "Pastablanca", "Marilyn Mignon", "Duck Ellington" and my favorite: "You Can't Tuna Piano...", an appropriately named tuna tartare dish. If you save enough room for dessert, their cakes are world-famous, and for good reason. Each slice weighs over a pound and is topped with more frosting than imaginable. Unfortunately, the restaurant has been closed since Hurricane Ian in September of 2022 but is undergoing renovations and will open again. Overall, The Bubble Room is incredibly unique and should not be missed!

Restaurant Two: Ocean Grille

Location: Vero Beach, Florida

My Review: The Ocean Grille is everything that you would expect from a beachside restaurant including amazing views. However, the excellence doesn't just stop there. The food is incredibly fresh every time as they are only open for dinner service. The wait staff is perfectly attentive, and they always seem to show up right when you're thinking that you need something. The bread service and homemade dressings, however, are what truly take the cake. Loaves of steaming hot bread and whipped chive butter are delivered every 15 minutes during your visit. Every single sauce and dressing are made in-house and is so delicious you could eat it on your own.

Restaurant Three: The Woodbury

Location: Columbus, Ohio

My Review: The Woodbury has exceptional food no matter what meal you go for but their breakfast is particularly exceptional. The menu is small but certainly does not lack variety nor flavor. My personal favorite is the French Toast Casserole, a delightful casserole topped with praline, berries, and a vanilla buttercream drizzle. The restaurant itself is small and feels similar to dining at a friend's home. It is also conveniently located directly in the downtown district just blocks from the Ohio Theater and the Columbus Museum of Art. Between the location and unique menu offerings, The Woodbury is certainly a Columbus staple.

These restaurants are my top three, hard-to-replicate and best restaurants I have ever been to. This certainly does not cover all of my favorite restaurants, but this certainly begins to scratch the surface.

  1. I loved reading all of your restaurant recommendations as for I am a foodie also and will never turn down a good meal. I love that food is just as much an event centered around community as it is a way to nourish your body. I will definitely have to try The Woodbury next time I am in Columbus.
