America's Favorite Pastime
This past weekend was Memorial Day Weekend, and to me, it signifies the beginning of summer. Although I didn't do too much through the entire weekend, I was able to celebrate properly on Monday by participating in "America's Favorite Pastime": watching baseball. I live near downtown Columbus and even though they are a minor league team, the Columbus Clippers get a lot of attention. Personally, I don't love watching baseball (I mainly just go for the food), but this time was a lot of fun. We were fortunate to get tickets in a private suite which made it all the more fun. You can't go wrong with unlimited popcorn and hotdogs! We had twelve tickets so we were able to bring some family friends with us, along with my boyfriend Zach. Although I didn't actually end up watching most of the game, the part that I did watch was eventful and the Clippers won! After the game, there was live music and a firework show to round out the evening. I had a ton of fun and I hope that this becomes a new tradition!
The rest of the week was pretty uneventful and all I really did was work. As I mentioned in a previous post, I work at Pinnacle Country Club in Grove City, Ohio. I had worked at a different golf course previously for around four years, but unfortunately, it has shut down. This job is so much different from my previous one, but it is a good different! My job is fairly easy, I mostly just answer phone calls, make tee times, and sell merchandise. I have really enjoyed getting to know all of the members and staff, and am looking forward to the rest of the summer!
Who doesn't love watching baseball?! I have always loved watching and playing baseball I have never been to a Columbus Clippers game though I'll have to check them out!!
ReplyDeleteAs someone who loves baseball, Columbus Clippers games are always fun to go to. I've probably been to 20 games at Huntington Park and they're always fun!
